I’m honored and excited to be a guest designer for 3 Girl JAM!
When I saw all the beautiful ribbons and fibers in the shop, it was hard to choose what I wanted to work with, but I was drawn to the textures of the jute. The colors are so vibrant and natural. I had to have them! I picked them up not quite knowing what I wanted to do with them.
As I was adding water to my plant cuttings, I decided they needed a new home – a pretty home! I found an interesting shaped glass vase at the Dollar Tree and inspiration hit. I used my ATG gun to make four evenly-spaced lines down the sides of the vase and began wrapping with the natural colored jute ribbon. A glue dot provided the adhesive for the very end of the ribbon, and the coffee jute string made a pretty bow.
I also picked up the Coffee Bundle of crinkled ribbon and can’t wait to play with that!
Here’s a little about me:
I’m a wife, mother, sister, teacher, crafter, blogger, knitter, reader, walker. My favorites: drink – coffee; foods – pizza and chocolate; color – brown; science – astronomy; vegetable – peas; weather – thunderstorms.
Thank you so much for inviting me to be a guest designer for 3GirlJam!
Hugs,
Evelyn
