Just a Little Sweeter

Hey there and Happy FRIDAY!
Donna K here with my very first post as a 2014 Design Team member
right here on the 3 Girl JAM blog!
I'm pretty excited about the chance to show you one of the brand new treasures that you will soon be able to get your crafty little hands on.
How do you love that wide lace ribbon?…..Seriously…. I swoon!!!
I layered that gorgeous lace ribbon {it's approximately 2" wide!} with some fabulous crinkle ribbon and wound it around as the band for my double Z fold card to hold it in place.
The inside is stamped with my sentiment and I will probably just sign my name to this one..I think this card is just right as is.
Along with the card…
A muslin bag all dressed up and filled with chocolates …
a simple, SWEET Valentine.

You can find the bags…and the ribbons {new items coming SOON} and a wonderful selection of buttons right here!
If you're already in the mood for shopping…be sure to use the code DB10 at the check out, that little tidbit will save you 10% in the 3GirlJAM shop!
Thanks for letting me share with you today.

PS…don't forget there is a challenge going on right now, the theme is Anything Goes with Ribbon and you can link up your treasure on the challenge blog right HERE!

Guest Designer: Karen N

Hi Everyone!
A Special Celebration Month calls for some Special Guest Designers!
We have a few of our friends joining us each Wednesday of September to help us celebrate.

Our first friend is Karen from Craftily Yours.  Karen has joined us on our blog before and has been a winner of one of our Challenges too!

Check out the super cute card she made for her post for our 2 Year Celebration Month!!

Hi There, Karen N here from Craftily Yours as today's guest designer for 3 Girl JAM!  The theme I was asked to follow was "celebration," and I'm super honored to be part of the 3 Girl JAM birthday celebration!  I used 3 Girl JAM Witches Brew from the Spooky Bundle - found http://www.3girljam.com/product/spooky-bundle.  I use this particular color a lot; not just for spooky projects.  I love it!  The button is also from 3 Girl JAM found here -www.3girljam.com/category/buttons.  The paper I used in my project is from the Teresa Collins Fabrication line.  That adorable girl is Blossom by Blossom stamps from There She Goes.  I used some Tim Holtz distress ink in Mustard Yellow on the front.  I love the effect; it reminds me of bright sunshine in her face.  The back shadow is Tim Holtz Milled Lavender.  The sentiment is from Tiddly Inks.  It certainly fit the theme :)  Here's wishing 3 Girl JAM a very happy birthday celebration and oodles of success in the future!

Thank you Karen for the kind words- and thank your for being a fabulous friend of 3 Girl JAM!

Laced Ribbon Card

Hi everyone! This is Elizabeth from 217 Creations.  I am here today to share my card that features 3 Girl Jam Antique White Crinkle Ribbon.  Antique White comes in the Jackpot Bundle but you can also order it in the Pink and White bundle too.
The paper is from Jillibean Soup.  The shamrocks are from Memory Box Dies. My favorite part of this card is the lacing with the 3 Girl Jam Antique White Crinkle Ribbon and the Memory Box Die cut.  After I laced the die cut, I used the 3 Girl Jam Bow Maker to tie a multi-looped bow.  I then tied twine and adhered a button from Vintage Button Assortment from 3 Girl Jam.
If you want more details and pictures you can visit my personal blog HERE. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and subscribe to us here at 3 Girl Jam.

Altered Carousel

Happy Monday All
Gloria here from Oma's Crafts
I have been having some fun and still doing some reorganization. (in my case this seems like a never ending process) I totally loved the way my fellow DT sister Cheri from DJ's Sundries was housing her 3 Girl JAM ribbons and decided to copy her storage idea.

This is a carousel for pens and pencils that I altered and now it houses my entire stash of 3 Girl JAM goodness. All ribbons and twine are wound on craft sticks. There is even room for my canvas strips, burlap and bow maker in the middle. It is adorned with Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbonBurlap and Vintage Buttons. This takes up less space than my old storage and I can see all the gorgeous colors right out in the open.
I glued a magnet on the side and another to the bottom of this container to hold all my Vintage Buttons. If you are wandering about the little sign I will be putting photos of my 4 grands on this side also. When my daughter was a little girl I called her Tara Beara so it continued with my grands and they are all my little bear cubs!!!
If you would like to see photos of the other 2 sides and a view from the top head over to my blog.

Happy Crafting!!!

Spooky Fun

Good Morning everyone! Rebecca here in the middle of a Spook-tacular weekend!
And really, what better way to spend THIS particular day than completing the final touches of your Halloween decorations and treats!

So, while I'm usually up to NO GOOD, today I'm having some good old fashioned fun making (and eating) treats so that the little tricksters out there will NOT target me on Halloween.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, we don't get many kids on Halloween around here, so I usually put together a few unique packages filled with candy to give each little cutie that comes by all decked out in fun costumes.

The above is one of those packages.  And I love that it's quick AND pretty AND festive.
If you want to make one for yourself, I have all the details over on my blog.

I'm using two different 3GirlJam products

Ribbon - Harvest Orange from the Harvest Bundle and a button from a Vintage Button package.

So, there you have it.  Just in case you needed ANOTHER reason to make something and fill it with CHOCOLATE!

Now, go make something beautiful!

Your'e the Best

Hey everyone..it's Abby from ScrappinAbby and today I'll be sharing a card I made with some of the new burlap from 3 Girl Jam  that was just released on October 1st. I LOVE this burlap. I use this material on a lot of my projects but this burlap from 3GJ passed a test like none other...more about that in a minute.

Let me show you my project.........

I used some of the yummy Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbon from 3GJ along with a few of the vintage buttonstwine and of course the newly released burlap.

The "burlap test" I referred to above was this flower I made. I ran the 3GJ burlap through my Vagabond using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and they came out PERFECT!! Now I've used this dye on other burlaps I've come across and even an honest to goodness coffee bean bag and they turn out ok but none have turned out as intact and with such clean edges as these have. Love the burlap!!

This was a super fun and easy card to make with so many FAB products from 3 Girl Jam. Be sure to check out the 3 Girl Jam store and pick up your own stash of scrappy items.

For more photos and a complete supply list used..please check out my blog...ScrappinAbby

Happy Scrappin : )

Icky Treats

Good Day Everyone!
Rebecca here again sharing a cute and silly treat I've made for Halloween next month!  Super excited to show you this!  Isn't it a hoot?  I wonder if the kids that get this will DARE to eat what's inside!

It's a wonderful Saturday all the way over here in my little corner of the world...even though my vacation is over (SIGH).

BUT on the upside, there is something so much fun about putting together really special one of a kind treats, don't you agree? We don't get many trick or treaters on our street anymore because everyone has grown up...and we live on a cul-de-sac with only a few houses....so it's even a real treat for ME when I get to see little kids all dressed up.

So, what do you think?  I just love the pizzazz the wonderful crinkle ribbon added to this treat sack.  And the button is one I got from my pack of vintage buttons!  I painted it with some bronze paint I have used with leafing to give it a little boost.

Oh, and do you see the burlap banner!  I made this from some burlap ribbon....

NEW PRODUCT  THAT I LOVE LOVE LOVE

It's going to be available starting on Oct 1 (just a few more days from now!) and will come in 4" side by 1 yard strips!  You'll definitely want to check it out.

I can't wait to see how the kids react! I'm going to DARE them to eat the treats inside.

If you want more information on the dimensions of the bag and how to make it, I've posted the details on my blog HERE.

Have a wonderful day!

Yummy Treat Box

Good Monday Everyone!
Gloria here from Oma's Crafts and I am so glad to be here with you today. It has been such a busy week around here.  It feels good to have my crafty studio back in order and having some fun again. One of these days I will have to do a video showing my room. It feels much more open now that I removed a lot of stuff and passed it on to freecycle.

Well on to my project. This is a super cute box that can be used for so many things. I used mine for some yummy Hugs and Kisses. The bow was made with some delicious Hot Chocolate crinkle ribbon and the flower is rich, deep Merlot crinkle ribbon topped off with a Vintage Button. I totally love this combination!!
The box was made using a tutorial from Pink by Design and the sentiment is also from Pink by Design.

So now that I have given you some Ribbon Flower inspiration make one of your own and link it up to the current 3 Girl JAM challenge HERE.

Happy Crafting!!

Tags in Bags

Hey everyone..it's Abby with ScrappinAbby and today I will be sharing another fun project with you using some FAB 3 Girl Jam products. I'm calling these scrappy creations, "Tags In Bags".

I created these tags from various CS scraps I had in my stash and I altered some mini bags I picked up from the hardware store.

In addition to using some of the yummy crinkle ribbon, I also used some of the beautiful vintage buttons from 3GJ. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love vintage items & using them in my projects..these buttons are just awesome & I can't wait to use more of them on future projects.

Here's a sneak peek at the tags I made for each bag.
And another quick peek at some of the canvas border strips from 3GJ.

To see more photos of this project & some details on how I altered each bag and a complete supply list...come check out my blog ScrappinAbby

Thanks for letting me share my project with you today...I wanted to showcase the many ways you can use the FAB products from 3 Girl Jam, crinkle ribbon, vintage buttons and the canvas border strips.

Happy Scrappin!!

School Days Altered Chalkboard

Happy Thursday everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries.  I hope you are having a great day.  I have looked forward to today for awhile now.  Not only do I get the chance to share a fun new project using 3 Girl JAM products, but today is day 1 of 3 days off from work.  Woo Hoo for days off!

If school hasn't started where you live, it likely will soon.  How about a project to commemorate the new school year?

However, before I show you the finished project, I want to show you the fabulous 3 Girl JAM items I used.

I started my project using Mistletoe and Holly Berry ribbon.  I added a few 3 Girl JAM Vintage buttons, some thread, and viola...

...you have some pretty little flowers.  To make them, I sewed a simple basting stitch along one edge of the Holly Berry ribbon and then gathered the ribbon, sewing it in the back to form a flower.  I then tacked a piece of Mistletoe to the back of the flower to make a leaf and sewed a vintage button for the center of the flower.  This was a great start to my final project.

Other items that you might need include:
Bingo Cards from BMuse
Graphic 45 paper - An ABC Primer
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Black Soot
Basic Grey letter stickers
Tim Holtz Vintage Photos stickles
Mod Podge

Thanks for stopping by today.  For a complete tutorial on the steps taken to make this project, please click on over to DJ's Sundries.  Have a great day!

You Make Me Smile

Hi Everyone!

Julie here...I've been on a creative streak lately!  I finally figured out (kind of) how to do the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo- so I've been having a lot of fun with it.
Here's a quick card that I made:

Echo Park paper, Pink By Design sentiment, and 3 Girl JAM Twine, Button and Cherry Lipstick Ribbon.  Doesn't get much better than that!
:0)

Hope you all have a great day!
