The Frugal Ribbonista

Greetings, fellow ribbon lovers.  Julie O here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. Are you as frugal as I am, saving scraps of paper and ribbon because they're too pretty to throw out? With ribbon, if it's an inch or less, I'm able to trash it, but longer than that, and I feel the need to keep it "just in case."  I have a project today that uses up scraps of ribbon.  I don't know about you, but it makes ME happy to find a home for some of those short ribbon pieces I've been hoarding :)

I found this tote bag cutting file in the Silhouette Design store.  It was perfect for what I was looking for.  I used some double sided paper and set about cutting and creating my tote bag.  To decorate the bag even more than that pretty butterfly, I tied some short pieces of 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon to both handles of the tote.  One piece was a bit longer, so I used that one to tie both handles together, and to make a bow.

Happy Birthday Explosion Box and Card

Raechelle here sharing a fun project I made for my daughter's 16th birthday today! I have always wanted to create an explosion box and I had an idea in my head so I ran with it. This project turned out so much better than I ever could have imagined and I am sure my daughter is going to love it!

I rolled paper to make 16 candles and then added some  3 Girl JAM Peach crinkle ribbon from the Tie Dye 3 Bundle to create the "flames".

I also used the beautiful 3 Girl JAM Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon from the the Caribbean Splash bundle on the card and for several bows on/in the box.

A Whole Bouquet for You

I used a Tiddly Inks image, Wryn Blooms, and colored it with Copic markers.  The card base is a cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

I used several 3 Girl JAM products to finish this card -- the Tie Dye 3 Bundle (both colors), and the 2.5 inch lace from the Distressed Lace Bundle.  I love to layer ribbon and lace together!

This is a file I found in the SIL store.  I used CTMH papers except for the purple plaid, its just from Joann's.

Mint Crinkle Ribbon Pint Basket

Raechelle here sharing a pint basket featuring the Mint crinkle ribbon from the Tie Die 3 Bundle, which just so happens to be the March Feature product (while supplies last).  

This ribbon is so pretty! I painted the wooden pint basket turquoise and then applied some green, and yellow ink once dry to coordinate with the variegated ribbon. 

The button was finished off with a small piece of gold trim from the Holiday Trim collection.
