Fabulous Day to Celebrate!

HAPPY MONDAY FRIENDS!

I have a short but sweet post for you today!

For my Designer Day with 3 Girl JAM, I created a bright and cheery card to follow the theme for the current 3 Girl JAM 3GJ Challenge Blog.

The theme is All Things Spring with Ribbon.

I used the Mistletoe Green Crinkle Ribbon to give a feel of soft spring grass along the bottom of my card.  I love pleating this ribbon for many different effects.  I love the grass look it gives here.

Other products used:
Yellow Card Base -- David Tutera Celebrate Card Set - Brights

Frame layers -- Recollections card stock (various colors)
Frames cut using Shapez Frame 2 Die by Spellbinders/Xyron
Butterflies cut using Shapez Butterfly Die by Spellbinders/Xyron
Design on Butterflies was made using Untiy Stamp Co. Chicken Wire Background stamp by Christy Tomlinson then heat embossed
Sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. "...everything wonderful" set by Lisa Arana
Inks used:  Colorbox Imperial Purple, Colorbox Blossom Pink, Ranger Sunshine Yellow, American Crafts Powder Blue, & American Crafts Apricot

Back to School Note Cards

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!!!
Jessica here with a  fun, quick and easy Back to School project to share for
3 Girl JAM that also fits our current challenge going on for the next week.
So as a reminder the challenge is
Back to School w/Ribbon
And here is what I made...
a set of 5 note cards all packaged up and ready to give....
How adorable is this????
I found this fun printable freebie from Jennifer McGuire HERE and it was just a matter of printing out my 5 note note cards, then hand cutting the apple that is also included as an extra in the download and coloring it with my copic markers. I did 5 apples like that and then attached them to my cards with some glue.
After rounding the corners on my note cards and placing an envelope behind each one, I placed them in this clear card box, wrapped some Mistletoe crinkle ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow.
Then for my tag, I used My Creative Time~Stitched Tag die with the matching Round Tab, another apple from the download that I again colored with my copic markers and the sentiment stamped from My Teacher Rocks! set.
There you go! A super quick and GREAT gift idea for your teacher!!!

I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember you have one more week to get your
Back to School w/Ribbon
 projects in!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday!!

Be Early Be Late Time Tag

Hi Friends...I haven't posted on here since Christmas so I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season & a Happy New Year : )

Today I am excited to share a tag I made using not one but two of the wonderful crafty items from 3 Girl Jam.

Love how the rich colors from the Mistletoe (from the Winter Bundle) and Coral Crush (from the Caribbean Splash Bundle) work so well with the papers from Echo Park. The canvas border strip that you see is also from 3GJ.

This was a fun tag to design and put together...and it goes to show you that you can mix and match the crinkle ribbon from other bundles to come up with a FAB look for your project. I love how the ribbons from the Winter & Caribbean bundles work so well together.

For more photos and a detailed list of all the products I used on this tag....please stop by my blog..ScrappinAbby.

Happy Craftin!!

Crinkle Ribbon Christmas Tree

We be JAMMIN'
We be Jammin'
we be jammmmmiiiinnnn
to
O' Christmas Tree, that is...LOL

Welcome 3 Girl JAMMERs
Today I get to share
my Crinkle Ribbon Christmas Tree
with all of you.

I started with a Kraft card base and inked the edges using TH Vintage Photo.  I did the same with
my white wausau textured card stock layer.  I began pleating my Mistletoe and Goblin Green
Crinkle Ribbon from a point at the top of the tree down to the base, then switching up with the opposite color and going back up again.  I alternated the two greens until I was finished
with my tree shape.    I continued on by adding some 3 Girl JAM Sunshine Yellow Twine to appear as garland strung across the tree in a swooping fashion.

Now, you may have come to expect the mini bows on my projects, well, YOU GOT IT!  Using the luscious Holly Berry Red Crinkle Ribbon, I created 3 Red Bows to adorn the tree branches.  I added some wonderful pearls from Miriam's Crafting Supplies on FB and then topped the tree
with a wonderful Angel Flair Button by 3 Girl JAM.  The circles at the bottom were scraps left over from some of my "punching" episodes.  The sentiment is part of a wonderful October Afternoon set that the sweet Julie K gifted to me . . . THANKS JEWELS!

Stuff your Crafty Stockings with all the fantastic
Products in the 3 Girl JAM Store TODAY!

The fun Christmas Inspirations Challenge will

School Days Altered Chalkboard

Happy Thursday everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries.  I hope you are having a great day.  I have looked forward to today for awhile now.  Not only do I get the chance to share a fun new project using 3 Girl JAM products, but today is day 1 of 3 days off from work.  Woo Hoo for days off!

If school hasn't started where you live, it likely will soon.  How about a project to commemorate the new school year?

However, before I show you the finished project, I want to show you the fabulous 3 Girl JAM items I used.

I started my project using Mistletoe and Holly Berry ribbon.  I added a few 3 Girl JAM Vintage buttons, some thread, and viola...

...you have some pretty little flowers.  To make them, I sewed a simple basting stitch along one edge of the Holly Berry ribbon and then gathered the ribbon, sewing it in the back to form a flower.  I then tacked a piece of Mistletoe to the back of the flower to make a leaf and sewed a vintage button for the center of the flower.  This was a great start to my final project.

Other items that you might need include:
Bingo Cards from BMuse
Graphic 45 paper - An ABC Primer
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Black Soot
Basic Grey letter stickers
Tim Holtz Vintage Photos stickles
Mod Podge

Thanks for stopping by today.  For a complete tutorial on the steps taken to make this project, please click on over to DJ's Sundries.  Have a great day!

Get Well Soon

Hello This is Carri! Thanks for checking in at 3 Girl Jam! Today I am featuring the Crinkle Ribbon Harvest Orange,  and Mistletoe!

I love how this flower turned out! My Husband was in a "let's run a lot of errands today" mood, so I grabbed my crinkle ribbon some matching thread and a needle and while he drove us all around town I stitched along the bottom of the ribbon. I was then able to pull the thread which caused the ribbon to scrunch together, once I got home I pulled, shaped the hot glued my flower into place! I love that I was able to mix crinkle ribbon colors together from different bundles and have them fit together so perfectly!

The base of my card is 4X4.  I used my Sizzix Scallop Square to make the shape.
Paper from the DCWV Citrus Stack
Sentiment stamp Get Well Soon from Docerela Creations

Thinking of You

Hello Crafty Blends!
Jessica, from Jessica's Craft Shaq, here with my first DT Post at 3 Girl JAM.  I was so exited to try to put this idea to execution on a card.  I was quite pleased that it turned out exactly as I had imagined.

For my card, I used a few of the fabulous colors of the 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon
Holly Berry Red
Harvest Orange
Sunflower Yellow
Mistletoe Green
Ice Blue
and
Witches Brew Purple
and for the sentiment, that is a Unity Stamp from their March 2010 Kit of the Month.  I just stamped it directly onto the card, then paper pieced another cut out (of the cloud) and used adhesive foam squares to raise it up.  A simple CAS card with a fun and colorful result!
Keep Crafting
