Funky bracelet by Marji

Today, I am sharing an "out of the box" project.
I got this crazy idea to make a ribbon bracelet.
I found these jewelry pieces on clearance, picked my top 3 favorite colors and went to work.

I used  jump rings to attach the findings to the ribbons, it held up at work ( nursery with 2month-10 month old babies), the babies loved playing with the pieces, I was worried about snagging them on clothes or while picking the kids up and such.  If I wear it on my left arm it gives them something to look at while I change their diapers, much better than hands all over yucky places.

I am really proud of this project.  Attaching it to a clasp was the hardest part, I finally decided on this type of clasp. I love that it matched so well.  Complete luck there.

You can shop all the Crinkle ribbon here, above are the bundles I picked from, one from each bundle.

Prayer Request Journal by Jessica B.

!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
Blends and 3 Girl JAM-mers

Jessica B. from  Jessica's Craft Shaque here to share my first project of 2-0-1-4!

I want to take a minute to pause and wish for a great abundance of blessings to shower my friends and family with the start of the New Year. Here's to GOOD HEALTH, CHEER, & LOADS OF INSPIRATION!!!

One such wish goes to Sweet Julie, Owner of 3 Girl JAM.  For me, 2013 was a wonderful year, full of fun and excitement as I participated on the 3 Girl JAM Design Team.  THANK YOU JULIE!!!!

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing team full of other talented and sweet Design Team Members and to be able to play creatively with all the fabulous products from the 3 Girl JAM Shop.

My wish for abundant blessings is directed to each and every one of the girls, past-present-and future, on the team as well.

I wanted to play along in the current 3 Girl JAM Challenge, which is to create Holiday Gifts using ribbon.  Since Christmas is passed, my focus for my project leaned more towards the New Year.  The gift is one to myself, but which will blossom into a gift for many others.

On many occasions, I have been inclined to write down names of friends who could use prayers or thoughts of well wishes during certain trials they may be facing.  This gave me an idea to alter another notebook, one of my favorite things to create.  The idea was to alter the book and adorn it with soft crinkle ribbon colors, paper flowers, and other sweet embellishments so that it could serve as a Prayer Request Journal.  This would keep the names of all those I will be mentioning in my prayers and well wishes organized and not to be forgotten!

Please feel free to stop over to my Personal Blog @ http://jessicascraftshaque.blogspot.com for all the details and more close up pictures of my Prayer Journal!

I am pleased with this finished project because I know how much it will help me to KEEP MY FRIENDS IN MIND OFTEN!!!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Julie O, here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers today. Since I'm lucky enough to post on Thanksgiving, I knew I had to have some Thanksgiving inspiration for the holiday.  I went searching through the Silhouette online store and found this fun cutting file, perfect for the occasion.

Guest Designer: Shelley Peeler

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday!

We have another fantastic Guest Designer today!  Shelley Peeler from Scrapbooking for Fun is here to dazzle you with her fabulousness!!

Shelley says:
It is my pleasure to post as a guest designer today for 3 Girl JAM!!! I hope you have joined the party!!!
If not here is your link !
PARTY
Since this month is all about Celebration at 3 Girl JAM I have created a Birthday Card. Here it is:
On this card I embossed a card stock mat then took a smaller piece of card stock and covered it with fabric.
Then I faux stitched with a black photo safe pen. Next I adhered the fabric and  the embossed mat together.
My next step was to make my bow with my so easy to work with 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon. I then used a Maya Road canvas tag and stamped the sentiment onto it then inked the edges and attached it to the card. I used  pop dots to attach it all to my card base.
As you can tell I am a HUGE fan of 3 Girl JAM Crinkle ribbon and the bow maker! I love having a perfect bow every time. You will also find a tutorial on the 3 Girl JAM blog to show you how to use it.

This is a double bow but the possibilities with this great tool are endless!
If you want perfect bows every time this is the product for you!!
Here is a close up of the bow

Thank-you for stopping by my blog today!!! Be sure to visit 3 Girl JAM and also jump over to the
Event Page and join the party!!!

Thanks Shelley for sharing your talent with us!

50th Birthday Card

Hi Everyone- JulieK here!

I have a super fun birthday card to share with  you today.
I haven't done many "boy" cards- and even fewer "men" cards, so when my husband asked me to make a 50th Birthday card for one of his Poker buddies, I was a little nervous- but I was also up for the challenge.
I asked my husband if he wanted it funny, punny, serious, or if he had a particular sentiment in mind.
He had no idea....
so we came up with this together.

Even though it's a "man" card, I still had to use my 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon.
I used some Holly Berry, London Blue, and Sunflower
along with some cut outs and some print and cut from the Silhouette Store.

(The inside of the card)

Arf! Arf!

We'll see tonight if he thinks it's funny-
or if my Hubs will have to look for a new place to play poker!

Make sure to link up your recent Birthday projects at our challenge blog.
The current challenge is "Anything Birthday- with Ribbon"
You have one more week!

Guest Designer - Jessica Kephart Week 3

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!! Jessica again from Homespun Elegance to share a SUPER fun Project with the Muslim Bags in the 3 Girl JAM Store!!
I sure hope you will get one and give this a try!

If you missed my first two projects featuring 3 Girl JAM Products, I hope you will take the time to stop by and let me know what you think!

I used Tulip Fabric Paint, and Diluted it about 1/3 paint, and 2/3 water, and put it in a Spray Bottle, and went to town!!

I took an old torn sheet outside and spray until I had the color I wanted.

I distressed the bag with brown inks. Crinkle your Bag so you have a textured look when finished.

Using Circle Punches and Hot Glue, I made different size rosettes in the Merlot, London Fog, and Antique White 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon! These Colors are beautiful!!

I used a CD Binder Insert and hand stitched it to the bag.

Using my Unity Stamps and Stayzon ink in Timber Brown, I stamp a variety of my favorite images ad sentiments to the bag.

I grabbed a modge podge of my favorite embellishments and just started placing them around the "frame" (CD Insert)

I used an assortment of Buttons from 3 Girl JAM
The Rosettes I made from the London Fog, Merlot, and Antique White Crinkle Ribbon
and of course this incredible bag from 3 Girl JAM!!

"Flower Wand" by Jessica B.

HEYA BLENDS . . . . Jessica B. with you today
and I am sharing a fun project with all of you
and asking you
...
Are you ready to Link Up with
the Newest 3 Girl JAM Challenge?

Challenge #19 -
Theme: Anything Goes w/Ribbon
Date: May 24th - June 13th
Sponsor:   3 Girl JAM
Prize:
$10 GC and Guest Designer Spot

The Design Team has shared some fabulous projects with you since the first day of the Challenge, so do stop by the 3 Girl JAM Challenge Blog to view all the scrumptious creations and wonderful inspiration.

EASY PEASY FLOWER WAND
I gathered all of my 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon  and picked out the "girlie" colors to make my sweet 5 year old daughter a Flower Wand.  She LOVES Purple (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree ;) ) and is a girlie girl.  I grabbed the following colors to use in my project:
Purple Passion from the Royal Bundle
Cherry Lipstick from the Pink and White Bundle
Merlot and London Blue from the Wine and Jewels Bundle
Witches Brew from the Spooky Bundle

To keep the Flower Wand "Kid Friendly", I added several 3-D foam adhesive squares around the sharp end of the skewer before adding the ribbon.  I wrapped the wooden skewer with London Blue Crinkle Ribbon to start.  I cut several small lengths of all the colors I chose and applied them to the upper portion of the wand.  I then added a variety of paper and foam flowers in matching colors.  A few more wisps of ribbon around the wire stems of the flowers and all the imperfections were covered.

I felt the wand needed a little more of something, so I twisted a silver pipe cleaner around the wand handle.

I made a few Purple Passion thick bows with the help of my trusty sidekick, the 3 Girl JAM Bow Maker

I applied the bows to the underside of the "bouquet".

This project didn't take too long to complete and
I am certain that my Little Princess is sure to love it
when I surprise her with it in the morning.

Thanks EVER SO MUCH
lovely Blends and 3 Girl JAMmers

We hope you will JOIN THE FUN

with Ribbon!

Mustache Mania

Hello All, Gloria here from Oma's Crafts.
I hope you have been enjoying the first half of our
3GJ/TAWS Cross Promotion Double Challenge Blog Hop
that started on Friday. Be sure to also join in on the second half starting this coming Friday.
I am so very honored to be in the company of all these extremely talented and creative artists!!
The project I was "Inspired" to make was a late treat for my Valentine. My family had a few hard personal things we had to deal with around the holiday and nobody was really thinking about chocolates and flowers at the time. Hubby's birthday was the day before Valentine's and I even forgot to wish him Happy Birthday. I felt so bad.
I covered a State Line bag with all the mustache stamps from TAWS "Mustache Mania" stamp set and replaced the ties with London Blue crinkle ribbon. The bag is filled with yummy Sixlets candies.
Happy Crafting!!

Guest Designer Kristan Anderson

Welcome to another guest design post for 3 Girl JAM.  It has been so fun to learn about other bloggers through these posts.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries and I am super excited to introduce you to another guest designer.  She's not completely new to 3 Girl JAM though.  Why? Because she recently was featured as a guest designer on the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog after winning one of the challenges.  (By the way: if you're not following and playing along with our challenges, you should really check those out.  They are lots of fun and the prizes are always great!)

Today's Guest Designer is Kristan from Babycakes.  I first "met" Kristan about a year and a half ago when we were both commenting and following another blog.  I began following her blog primarily because we had a lot of core beliefs in common.  Her creativity was a great added bonus.  We encouraged each other to apply for the same design team (for a stamp company) and we were both chosen to serve on that design team.  It was great to interact with her as a design team sister and get to know her and about her family and life in Canada.  After agreeing to be our guest designer for today, Kristan decided that it was time to step away from the blogging world (at least for now) in order to focus more on her daughter and other important things in her life.  However, she wished to complete this post after agreeing to it.  Though I am sad to see her step back, I appreciate her commitment to her family and beliefs.  Maybe someday she will be able to return and share her creativity with us again.  In the meantime, you could spend hours perusing her blog and seeing all the great things she has made through the years.  Quite a few of her projects feature 3 Girl JAM ribbon -  projects like this one using Merlot and London Blue.

Isn't this gorgeous?
Here are the other supplies Kristan used:
Hair Clip
Felt
Spellbinders Nestabilities Die: Scalloped Circle LG
Button
1" Cirlce Punch
Hot Glue Gun
Needle & Thread

Kristan has posted step-by-step instructions and pictures over on her blog Babycakes.  Be sure to hop over there to learn how to make this cute hair bow ribbon.  Then hop on over to the 3 Girl JAM store and pick up some crinkle ribbon and vintage buttons (or maybe a little flair) to try it out for yourself.
