Mixed Media Tag with the NEW Lace!

Blends and 3 Girl JAM-mers

I am happy to be the Design Team Member posting for 3 Girl JAM today!

I was super excited to get to play around and create a Mixed Media Tag for a swap I am in with a fun group on FB.  I spoke with my swap partner about her "favorites" and she was super sweet to give me a lot of ideas to work with.  As soon as she said "pinks, blues, silvers, whites, and greens", I grabbed the NEW Lace from 3 Girl JAM!!!  

This lace is beyond Gorgeous and I can't wait for it to be released so all my friends can play with it in their creations, too.  The colors are scrumptious and I adore the mixed colors Julie created and will have available!

I have included a picture heavy, information loaded, step-by-step at my personal blog, Jessica's Craft Shaque.  Feel free to stop by to get all the juicy details on this Mixed Media project and all the products that were used!

Now, to show the colors of the lace against my semi-finished tag.  GORGEOUS, RIGHT?

I started to embellish the tag first, by pleating and adhering the wider blue/green lace just under the hole at the top.

I then created a second row of lace, using the same technique, but with the thinner pink lace this time.  

I wanted to offset the large cluster of paper flowers on the bottom, by using some of the FABULOUS Crinkle Ribbon from the 3 Girl JAM Shop.

 I created a triple bow on my 3 Girl JAM Bow Maker using the Mixed Color Ribbon from the Red, White & Blue Bundle along with the Christmas Candy Ribbon from the Seasons Bundle.

Using some twine, I added a key charm to the center of the bow as I was making it with the Bow Maker.

A final touch --- adding the binder ring!

ALL IN ALL, I really enjoyed trying out this Mixed Media Project.

Happy Monday, Nicole here.   I hope you had a great weekend!!  We have had non-stop rain here in Oregon, downpours constantly, not fun!!  Thankfully it held off until after my daughter's soccer game on Saturday but boy, those poor Ducks in their football game got hit hard with the rain and wind.  Enough of the weather. . . Date Book

Happy Monday Everyone!! Gloria here today from Oma's Crafts.

I hope you have all had a very restful weekend and are ready to face another week. The weather around here has become chilly in the mornings but by afternoon it is very comfortable. Fall is my favorite season of the year. The days are nice, the colors are beautiful, the heater and air conditioner are both turned off so energy bills are cheaper. See it's just the perfect time of year I tell ya. lol

Fall also means another year is right around the corner. It is amazing how fast this year has gone by. I have to say though that I am ready for it to be over. This year has been a very stressful one and I pray that next year is a much quieter one. So in getting ready for the new year I made a 2 year date book. I could not wait another 2 1/2 months to start using it so I also included November and December.

Pretty Pretty Package

It's another great Saturday and I get to share with you another project I made using some of the wonderful ribbon available from 3GirlJam!

I used several different Crinkle Ribbons and the all NEW Burlap Trim!

I really had fun decorating this little package...and it's not even for a birthday!  I have this thing...even if  I make something pretty...it just feels SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL if it's in a nice package!  Don't you think?

Seeing Stars

Today is my day as a Featured Designer

as I always share

how super excited I am

to play with all of the 3 Girl JAM

products available,

this project is no exception!!!

This is the first chance I got

to play with the wonderful

Teresa Collings - Sweet Afternoon 

papers and embellishments.

To begin, I created some fun 

3-D stars using my Tablescapes -Spring and Summer 

Cricut Cartridge.

I used medium grade chipboard 

and cut the stars at 5".

I wanted to get out as much 3 Girl JAM product as possible

to use on this project.

I gathered a few coordinating colors of Crinkle Ribbon

and fun Triple Thick, 12 Strand Twine.
I didn't get to use the twine, like I had planned though :(
Maybe next week :)

Along with a few matching

resins, bling and other embellishments.

Here are the stars after being covered
with the beautiful papers. 

I originally planned to pleat the crinkle ribbon
along the inner corners of each star.  But that proved to be quite
difficult when I tried to use my ATG gun.
So, I improvised by twirling the ribbon
and using some Glue Dots and Zots
to line the inner corners instead.

I used the following colors of 3 Girl JAM Ribbon
Baby Girl Pink
Baby Boy Blue
Antique White
Sunflower Yellow
and
Christmas Candy

Vintage Pillow

Hey, Hey,  I'm Back!! Did you miss me as much as I missed you? Scrappin Madge here and I am super excited to be the Featured Designer today.  I must first say don't you all just {love} {love} 3GJ new products??? Oh my the Harvest bundle and burlap trip what???? oh and don't get me started on the cutest flair buttons EVER!!! If you don't know what I am talking about click here so you can see what I am fussing about. Hee Hee  Ok so are you all ready to see what I have been working on? Here you Go....

This is a pillow I picked up at a thrift store for $5.00 (still had the tags on it) yes its gold and pleated but when I saw this pillow all i could think of is 3 Girl Jam Crinkle ribbon! Super simple just a little pinning  a little hot glue gun action and BAM!!! This little vintage beauty was created.  I'm sure you are wondering where I would put such a pillow, well I have a sitting room and the couch is in much need of a friend.
