Stylin' Flamingos!

Hello, and happy Thursday! Julie O here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  We've been having a very rainy spring.  Today, we got 2 1/2 inches of rain.  Umbrellas, raincoats, and rain boots -- sales are up on all these things!  Even the birds need rain boots!

Yeah, stylin' flamingo for sure! The birds are cute, the sentiment is a hoot, but it's the new flower diecut ribbon and crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM that really gives this card that "wow" factor. I used Baby Girl Pink ribbon from the Baby Bundle.
There's just a couple days left to enter the 3 Girl JAM "Anything Goes" challenge, so you better get going!
If you need some of this beautiful ribbon for yourself, or anything else in the 3 Girl JAM store, use discount code JO10 for 10% off your order.  Go shop!

Heartfelt Watercolor Tag

This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries and I have been learning how to use watercolors as well as using ink pads and markers to add a watercolor effect on projects.  I am having so much fun using these techniques on different projects.  As I was waiting on another project to dry a bit, I decided that I wanted to use watercolor techniques to create this little tag for my husband.  It was made from a piece of left over Strathmore Watercolor Paper (90#) and Distress Inks.  Of course 3 Girl JAM ribbon finished it off beautifully.  It took just a few minutes to make and was the perfect compliment for a little "I love you" gift.

Items used:
3 Girl JAM Aqua Splash and Dress White crinkle ribbons
Strathmore Watercolor paper (90#)
Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Inks
Tim Holtz Heartfelt stamp set
Sequins from Mainstays (Walmart brand)
Tim Holtz tiny attatcher
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Don't forget that there is still time to enter the "Anything Goes with Ribbon" challenge at 3 Girl JAM.  You could win some delicious 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon for yourself.  Click on the ribbon names above to be taken directly to them in the 3 Girl JAM store.  These are perfect colors for summer crafting.

Are you interested in seeing a video about this sweet little tag or perhaps some more watercolor projects?  Head on over to DJ's Sundries to see what's going on over there.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

The Power of TWO

Hello Everyone!
It's FRIDAY….
my hubby is home from a work trip and I'm a happy camper.

This is a card I created for our nephew and
his beautiful bride to be….
who are expecting their first BABY(S or IES?) this summer.
Yep...Twin girls…yahoo!
The power of two is suitable for so many scenarios
but I thought this made a fun card for a baby shower. The stamp is a Stampin UP stamp from the Really Good Greetings set.
I used Cherry Lipstick crinkle ribbon from
the Pink & White bundle
If you are in the shopping mood
you can receive a sweet 10% discount
by using the code DB10
when you check out.
Thanks, Julie!

Smile Real Big~Eye Mask Mini

Hi Friends. Abby here with ScrappinAbby and today I have a fun project to share with all of you that I created for my daughter Kaley. I made her a mini album using some shipping tags and an eye mask for the cover....

I also have a video that shows you the project up close along with how I layered the tags on the inside....

For this project I used the following Crinkle Ribbon

 New LG Bundle

 Pink & White Bundle
Celebrations Bundle
Creating a mini from a Dollar Store eye mask might sound crazy but that's how my brain works sometimes..lol. Kaley loves animal prints and her favorite colors are pink, green and black so when I saw the eye mask I knew right away which 3GJ Crinkle Ribbons I wanted to use on the project. Here are a few photos of the inside....

I think Kaley is going to love this little mini and it will be perfect for her friends to write in and add some small photos of their fun times together.

Hopefully you were inspired by my project today to create something crafty from an item that's not your typical crafting item...turning an eye mask into a mini album...who would of thought right?

Thanks for stopping by the 3 Girl JAM blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby post.

Be sure to stop by the 3 Girl JAM Store and pick up some of the FAB Crinkle Ribbon bundles and all the other goodies Julie has available in her store. Remember...use discount code: AH10 to get 10% off  your total order.

Happy Crafting : )

Altered Tag using the NEW PRODUCTS at 3 Girl JAM - DT Jessica

HAPPY MONDAY FRIENDS!

For my Designer Day with 3 Girl JAM, I am happy to share some of the fabulous NEW PRODUCTS available at 3 Girl JAM with all of you today!  I will be linking up at the 3GJ Challenge Blog and hope you will join the Current 3 Girl JAM Challenge - ANYTHING GOES with Ribbon

This tag was created in a matter of minutes and I didn't feel the need to add to much to it, since the wonderful New Products did a great job on their own!

First you will see some of the NEW Texture Ribbon Flower Bundle used.

I had already misted this tag a few weeks ago and had it sitting on my table to create with.
I opted to use the Pink Flower Texture Ribbon on the top and bottom of the tag.

The NEW Tie Dye Crinkle Ribbon Bundles are CUTE, CUTE, CUTE.

I used  both of the colors from Tie Dye Bundle 1 - GREEN & BLUE

and I used the Yellow from
Tie Die Bundle 2 - PINK & YELLOW

to create petals on my flower and tied some through the opening on the top of my tag.

I simply twisted small loops, and used another NEW Product for the center.
I used one of the NEW Flair Buttons from the KEEP CALM FLAIR SET

The only thing I added was a stem on my flower using my Spectrum Noir marker
and
I stamped a Butterfly stamp from Unity Stamp Co. with some ColorBox ink pads.

Voila'....Super Sweet and Super Fast!

Thank You for Stopping in today....and don't forget to link up for your chance to win the awesome Gift Certificate Prize at the 3GJ Challenge Blog.

Spring Christmas card by Marji

Image of Jute Ribbon & String Pack
It's never too early to get a jump on the Holidays, here's a little spring time inspiration.
I really had fun with this card, trying to move from my comfort zone with my normal style and embellishments.
I used the beautiful jute ribbon. I hate to throw away any of my ribbon pieces from 3GJ so I used the ends from the tag to place behind the flower.
Neat right?  I really love this jute ribbon, it's more flexible than you'd think and the colors are so rich.
I also used gems and pearls for the berries for a little different approach.

Guest Designer: Laura Beth Buchl

I'm super honored to be announcing today's guest designer, Laura Beth Buchl.  Around blogland and Facebook, most people know her as LB or Caffeinated Scrapper LB.  I've seen this lady's work for a few years now as we are both part of a beautiful online community of scrappy, crafty, supportive women.  She has this eye for making creations elegant, clean and cool, and her post today certainly falls into that fabulous category!

*****

My name is Laura Beth but all my friends and family call me LB. I can not tell you how thrilled I am to have be asked to be a guest designer. He not only puts up with me but loves me as we have been together for over 20 years. I am a medical speech pathologist by training. However I have 3 kids so now I spend my days driving my hot minivan, going to baseball games, gymnastic meets and occasionally cleaning my house. I would love for you to check out my blog and leave a comment. I am giving away a prize(or two). If you leave a comment, you will automatically be entered. The deadline with be Monday, May 19, 2014 at 9 a.m. CT. Here is my link:  http://lifeofacaffeinatedmom.blogspot.com/2014/05/ransom-note.html
