Love My Boys

Karen N here from Craftily Yours sharing with you something I love....ok, maybe it's more about the someones I love.  My boys.

I'm the proud mom of four wonderful young men.  They are all in the ages of 19 and 20.  (Two mine; two his)  They are really good guys, and today's card is in honor of them.  They all now fit into those size 10 to 12 boots, but they remain "determined" to do the right thing.  The oldest does elder care for Alzheimer's patients at a local retirement facility.   The twins work and go to college.  The "baby" is a soldier in the U.S. Army, deployed in South Korea (miss him).  They are all amazing, and I sure do love them and their "determination."

That little boy reminds me of my boys.  So cute.  And the fun part?  That fabulous jute ribbon can be found at the 3 Girl JAM store - HERE!  And if you use code KN10, you can get it for 10% off.  What a deal!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  And hey, create something you love.....link it up at 3 Girl JAM Challenges!!

Craftily yours,

Karen

Spring pretties by Marji

I'm sharing a sweet spring tag I  made for a swap.
I used my SIL program to cut and size the images, all from the SIL store.
I used a little bit of twine to add the pretty hummingbird charm, then topped it off with some gorgeous ribbon in yummy cream

For my next project I used the beautiful lace and one of the flair buttons to create a sweet hair barrette for my daughter.  It's only taken 4 years for her to agree to wear things in her hair so I'm excited!
I used wire to thread into the holes in the lace then scrunched and twisted to form the rosette shape.
Everything is hot glued in place.

Guest Designer: Kari Cosentino

This month at 3 Girl JAM, we are celebrating things and people we love. I am part of an online crafty group that I really love, and one of the gals I've met through that community is Kari Cosentino (Kari's Kids Blog).  I knew, just knew, that she would ROCK a guest design spot at 3 Girl JAM, and I was so right.  Check out this chick and her fabulous bag!

*****

So here is a little bit about me....  I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, wife and Mom to 3 amazing kids aged 12, 9 and 6.  My kids are really active, which leaves me little time to be creative.  So when I get the chance to escape to a crop or a weekend retreat, I am all over it!  I mostly do layouts, since scrap booking is my passion and I have so much to get done but every now and then I have the urge to break outside my comfort zone.

When I was asked to be a guest designer for 3 Girls JAM, I felt so honored.....and so scared! Not my normal area of creativity, but I have a TON of ribbon and always look for ways to incorporate it into my crafts.  I made this project using a canvas bag from Michaels, paper from my favorite line from Echo Park called Be Mine.  It seriously is my absolute favorite line and just about killed me to actually use it!  Lol.  The paper hearts are cut using Spellbinders Classic Heart dies and Fancy Pants Love line.  The nylon butterflys are from my daughters stash (shhh, don't tell her I borrowed them!).  The ribbon colors are 3 Girl JAM Coral Crush and Purple Passion. I used some distress inks on the hearts, some bling from Recollections.  The bag came with a neon green handle, which didn't go with my love theme so I covered it with 3 Girls JAM ribbon, of course!

I had so much fun making this project and being a guest designer! Thanks for the challenge and bringing my creative side out for something I love.

*****

So much fun and sparkles - perfectly describes Kari and her wonderful project, don't ya think?  Special thanks to Kari for sharing with us her crafty self as today's 3 Girl JAM guest designer!

Craftily yours,

Karen

Hello Spring

Welcome and Happy Friday.
This is Georgiana from Carson's Creations sharing how to use the Daffodil yellow ribbon...what a soft, pretty color that is ideal for Spring.

This particular card did not use a die-cutting machine nor the Cuttlebug, which is unlike me. I used the extra pieces in the paper pad that I typically skip. There were die-cuts of: flowers, frames, folders, and quotes. Plus alphabet stickers and that it what I actually used.
The yellow flower is a punch out, which I layered on pop dots and the sentiment (Hello) are from coordinating stickers. I then added yellow pearls in opposite corners.
A dainty double bow was tied using a bow maker.
LOVE that 3 Girl JAM ribbon! Be sure to get yours today!

Other Materials:
K&Company paper ~ Brenda Walton stack
yellow pearls
brown ink

Hope you will join us for February's challenge...

You are FOXY!

Happy Thursday, sweet crafty friends! Julie O here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers I love to make 3D projects.  So, when planning my DT assignment for today, I decided on a 3D bag for a co-worker who's birthday is coming up next week.

I found this pattern in the Silhouette Online Store.  It will fit a gift certificate and a few chocolates just perfectly.
Isn't that Foxy Flair button the cutest?  Here's a close up of it:

You can find this Flair button, and other equally fun ones, in the 3 Girl JAM Store.  You'll also find this London Blue crinkle ribbon, from the Wine & Jewels Bundle, along with many other beautiful colors in the 3 Girl JAM Store.

Hanging Hearts

I know that Valentine's Day is over but there's always room to spread a little more love, right?  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries and that's exactly what I'm going to do.  A touch of 3 Girl JAM Merlot crinkle ribbon was the perfect accent for the pretty hearts and my current favorite "love" paper.

 Supplies:
3 Girl JAM Merlot Crinkle Ribbon (Don't forget to use the code "CP10" to receive a discount on your 3 Girl JAM orders)
Fancy Pants Love Note 6X6 paper pad
June Berry smooth cardstock by Core'dinations
It's Valentine's stamp set from K. Andrew Designs
Color Box terra cotta ink
Clear embossing powder
Stardust clear glittering ink
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge
Fiskars Hearts punch

I love the weight and texture that is achieved when you add multiple layers to a card.  It makes it feel so luxurious.  This 6X6 card was perfect for my husband since I didn't need to mail it.  No worries about having an envelope.  However, you can always make one if you need to mail it.

I actually did a tutorial of this card if are interested.  Just head over to DJ's Sundries by clicking here to view it.  Don't forget that you can enter your own "love" card in the current 3 Girl JAM challenge.  Just click here to read all about it.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Pretty in Pink

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to share a sweet altered gift that I created that is just full of LOVE.
This is a chipboard coaster that I inked up and layered with some frilly goodness.
I added the triangle hanger so this could easily be hung on the wall.
The size is 4"x4" and that sweet stamp was borrowed from my mom's collection.
I love how the pleated lace gives this piece such a feminine look and it goes perfectly with the baby girl pink crinkle ribbon and stick pin too.
You can find that Lace and Ribbon in the 3 Girl JAM Shop.
AND you can pick up a generous 10% off when you shop by using the code DB10 at the check out!
Thanks for letting me be part of your Valentine's Day!
Hope you get to spend it with the one you love…and I also hope you'll join us for our
"Things I Love" February Challenge!

Have a happy day today!

Lucky Us

Karen N here from Craftily Yours sharing with you several things I love.

First, I love my husband, and I love being his wife.  I love scrapbooking.  I haven't done any LOs for a while, and I need to get back to it.  I love the new 3 Girl JAM lace.  Seriously, it's beautiful.  I love 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon.  The ribbon here is Latte from the Coffee Bundle....I love it a LATTE! And I love sequins.  I combined all of these loves to create today's project.

That's me and Matt.  It's one of my favorite pictures.  The LO is 6x6 and is going into a frame I bought from Ms.   The 3 Girl JAM Chevron Flair was the perfect addition, don't you think?

Heart Shaped Box

Nicole here today with a fun project I made for Valentine's Day.  I made heart shaped boxes for all 3 of my daughters and had fun decorating them with some 3 Girl JAM ribbon.  Here is one of my boxes where I made a flower using some of the new 3 Girl JAM "light and bright" lace and a vintage button.

Here is a closeup of another flower I made using some of the 3GJ "Distressed" lace, 3GJ Vintage button and some Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon.  This time I glued the ribbon in the same manner as I did the lace in the previous flower but I only glued one layer of lace on this flower.

To create my lace flower I used my hot glue gun and glued the lace to a circle I cut out by hand. I started at the perimeter of the circle and worked my way inward and then glued a 3GJ vintage button in the center.  For more details on my heart shaped box and to see the two other ones I made, please visit my BLOG.

Pretty 3-D Armoire with Jessica B

!!! HAPPY MONDAY !!!
Blends and 3 Girl JAM-mers

I am excited to get to share my project with all of our lovely followers at the 3 Girl JAM Blog today!

I had the opportunity to watch a fabulous video tutorial during a You Tube Blog Hop this weekend.  I was super anxious to try to create a wonderful armoire and use my 3 Girl JAM Goodies
to PRETTY IT UP!

Since the February Challenge Theme with 3 Girl JAM is "THINGS I LOVE"
I reached for my 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon to embellish the doors of the armoire and the *NEW* Hand Died Lace to embellish the inside.

I have had the paper I used on this project in my stash for-ever!  It is super shiny and I love the color combination on both sides.

I wanted to also incorporate a sweet Sherri Baldy Besties image since I LOVE her work!

I followed the tutorial to cut and score all of my papers before adhering them together.

I printed lots of copies of darling Sherry Baldy Besties - "Posie Pockets" in coordinating colors and patterns.  I used my new Spectrum Markers to color her face, hair, and knickers.  All the other portions of her outfit were fussy cut and paper pieced together.

With a few ribbon sliders and pearls on the faux drawer,

and some Prima florals and a soft 3 Girl JAM Lace Valance on the inside . . .

it was ready for Posie to Step Inside!

Guest Designer: Amber Reade

Happy Saturday, Everyone!  Hope you are all enjoying your lovely weekend and creating projects for the "Something I Love" Challenge!  I am stoked to be introducing our guest designer, Amber from Ambaju Creates.  Amber created about something SHE loves - her family!  Amber was the leader of my very first design team, she is a very dear friend AND she is a pocket scrapping rockstar!  Totally.  Here's Amber!
*****

Hi!!  My name is Amber from Ambaju Creates and I am SO honored to be asked to be a guest designer for 3 Girl JAM! I am 33 and live in SLC, UT with my husband and 3yr old little girl.  I've been scrapbooking since I was 15 - times flies when you're having fun!! :)  I started Pocket Scrapbooking last June and have since changed over 100% to this method.  I absolutely LOVE it!!

I created a pocket spread for you today using some 3 Girl JAM ribbon, Maggie Holmes core kit and embellishments, UmWow Chipboard and Heart Mask, Wink of Stella brush pens, and some other odds and ends.  This spread is a lot more involved that I normally do, but I felt that the paper and ribbon was so rich and fancy that it definitely called for a lot more detail.  It was definitely fun to step out of my "norm" and play with some different mediums!  I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do!

Here are close-ups of some of the cards!

*****

Oh Amber, you dear girl, I am always just SO impressed by the amount of fun, fabulous and creativity that comes out of your pages! It really is just so.....you!  And your wee one is mini-you, totes adorable!  (What is up with that elf anyway??!! hahaha)

On behalf of 3 Girl JAM thanks to Amber for sharing some of her pocket scrapping with us!
