School Days Altered Chalkboard

Happy Thursday everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries.  I hope you are having a great day.  I have looked forward to today for awhile now.  Not only do I get the chance to share a fun new project using 3 Girl JAM products, but today is day 1 of 3 days off from work.  Woo Hoo for days off!

If school hasn't started where you live, it likely will soon.  How about a project to commemorate the new school year?

However, before I show you the finished project, I want to show you the fabulous 3 Girl JAM items I used.

I started my project using Mistletoe and Holly Berry ribbon.  I added a few 3 Girl JAM Vintage buttons, some thread, and viola...

...you have some pretty little flowers.  To make them, I sewed a simple basting stitch along one edge of the Holly Berry ribbon and then gathered the ribbon, sewing it in the back to form a flower.  I then tacked a piece of Mistletoe to the back of the flower to make a leaf and sewed a vintage button for the center of the flower.  This was a great start to my final project.

Other items that you might need include:
Bingo Cards from BMuse
Graphic 45 paper - An ABC Primer
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Black Soot
Basic Grey letter stickers
Tim Holtz Vintage Photos stickles
Mod Podge

Thanks for stopping by today.  For a complete tutorial on the steps taken to make this project, please click on over to DJ's Sundries.  Have a great day!

I am Here to Live Out Loud

Hello this is Carri from DoubleClick!

This week I decided to dig DEEP into my stash and I pulled out the first paper pad I ever purchased... 2009 the DCWV Spring stack! I remember thinking that I would never need more paper than this stack! LOL! I am embarrassed to say how many stacks I now have! It did bring back a lot of memories as I flipped through the pages and why this was a "must" have stack! I decided to take some papers and sentiments from the stack and make a page for my Smashbook! I was so thrilled to see how perfect my 3 Girl JAM products matched perfectly!

No Cricut on this one
All papers from DCWV The Spring Stack
Fussy cut sentiments, create, dreams, I am here to live out loud

Sweet and Simple

Hello Crafty Blends
Jessica here today
to share my
project
at
3 Girl JAM

I have been wanting to work
on my CAS style a bit
and still feel like I struggled
to "stop before I got ahead"
on my card today.

I started with white card stock
and stamped the Bakery Image (by Unity)
onto a separate scrap piece of white cs and colored to match.
(to use as a bottom layer)

I then stamped the Brick Wall (by Unity)background
onto my mint green dp first.
I wanted to give the Bakery a brick wall look,
so I stamped the Bakery image directly on top of it.

I colored a few places in with my Watercolor markers
to coordinate with the cupcake border
I had already cut using my ekSuccess punch
and other colors I was using on my card.
I fussy cut the awning from the bottom layer Bakery image
because I wanted it to "pop" off the card.

I cut a slit right above the window on the green image, then slid
the fussy-cut awning through and taped it on the back.
I used a small piece of 3D foam to keep it raised.

The sentiment is also from a Unity stamp set
and after stamping it
I used my Spellbinder Labels die
to cut the scalloped edged rectangle.
I put two eyelets at each of the top corners
so I could thread
through and mimic the OPEN
sign you see in the window of the Bakery.
I used a fun cupcake brad for the "hanger" on my sign.

On the inside of the card
I used a matching purple cs mat that I rounded the corners with using
my new corner rounder.
I made a fun bow from the same Iris Crinkle Ribbon
using my
3 Girl JAM Bow Maker
(man, how I love that thing!!!!!!!)
I added a few more punched cupcakes
and stopped!!!

I am so happy you stopped
into
3 Girl JAM today
and feel
free to pop over to my blog for more
links and details!

Keep Crafting
:O)

Hello Everyone.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Rebecca here from Bloomingpink Studios.
I am thrilled to be making my debut on the blog today!

AND

Especially thrilled to show you my secret project.

One of my dear friends is having a special (and significant) birthday in a few days and THIS is her birthday card.

After fretting with the card (I really did fret), I framed it with a bow using "Baby Girl" Crinkle Ribbon from the Baby Bundle set.

Awesome, eh?

I know she's gonna like it.
It's cheerful...Everything a birthday should be
(No matter how old we get   ...   Right!)

ENJOY YOUR DAY

Have a Super Day

Good Morning 3 Girl Jam Fans!
 Jessica from
here with another DT project to share.
It is back to school time for a lot of kiddos.
My guys start the day after Labor Day
but it is this time that we are getting school supplies,
back to school clothes and haircuts.
I thought I would make a card to put my son's
lunchbox on the first day.
I bet he would get a kick out of seeing a personalized card....
a note to say
" Have a Super Day"
I have been trying to figure out new ways to use this awesome
3 Girl Jam Crinkle Ribbon...
and
I made a double bow and inserted it into my tag from front to back.
I did secure it with super strong tape on the back so it wouldn't move
and made for me a different kind of tag.

What do you think??
I hope this project has inspired you....
As always
additional details on all the products used
can be found on my blog

Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Envelope

Hello everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries.  I am so excited to be posting my first ever 3GJ Design Team Post.

Today I would love to show you an altered envelope.  I am participating in a swap and the rules stated to include a metal embellishment as well as 3 other embellishments.  Of course that meant that I had to use my favorite 3GJ ribbon color - Witch's Brew.  I also had to use one of my favorite tools - the 3GJ Bow Maker. (I'm not just saying that.  This has been one of my favorite tools since the day it arrived in the mail.)

I used so many little things on this envelope and the back is finished too.  You should really stop by my blog at www.djssundries.blogspot.com to see a full product list and a video tutorial.  You won't want to miss the back of the envelope as well.

Thanks for stopping.  Have a beautiful day!

Today's Guest Designer - Heather Lynn

Hello to all of our fabulous readers.
Hope you are having a spectacular week!

Today, it is with pleasure, that I get to introduce
you to
a Fabulous Friend, Fellow Crafter, and
3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon Lover.

Help me in offering Heather Lynn, a nice warm
3 Girl JAM Welcome!

Hello, my name is Heather Lynn and I am so happy to be the guest designer here at 3GJ today! Thank you so much for having me!  My blog is called Random Recipes, Paper Crafts, and Photos by HL and here's a link http://heathernovinger.blogspot.com/ if you'd like to come by and say hi!

I am a stay at home Mom and I have 5 wonderful children.  I have been paper crafting since I had my twins in 2003.  My brother gave me some Birthday money and told me I had to spend it on ME so I bought a scrapbook kit and instantly I was hooked!  Right now my favorite things in crafting are chevron, mustaches, banners, and bright, fun patterned papers and of course 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon!!!!

I made a project to share with you today!  Here's what I came up with~

I used Echo Park Hello Summer patterned papers for my layout.  I used a Smash journaling paper for my journaling.  I used some Webster's Pages crystal embellies and cut the airplane using my Groovy Times Cricut cartridge.  I used the limited edition "Summer Sprinkles" Crinkle ribbon for the pleating and the ribbon flower.  Here's a close up view of the gorgeous ribbon~

This came together pretty fast.  Hope you like my colorful project! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by 3 Girl Jam today and getting to know a little about me!  Hope you all have a great week!

Hugs,
Heather Lynn

Thinking of You

Hey Everyone...I'm Abby with ScrappinAbby and I am super excited to share my first project & post with you as one of the new members with the 3 Girl Jam DT!!

Today I'll be sharing a "Thinking of You" card I created using some of the FAB crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam

I wanted to use the crinkle ribbon as a floral accent on my card so I made some small flowers & added a wood button in the center. Here's a closer look...

Such a fun way to dress up any project : )

I always tie the inside of my cards to reflect the design on the front so I just had to add another crinkle ribbon flower on the inside...I just love it!!

This was a fun card to create...I love layering & mixing in different patterns & colors of card stock along with using buttons, twine & of course some yummy 3GJ crinkle ribbon : )

Hopefully this project shows you that you don't only have to use crinkle ribbon to tie off tags or strips of paper but you can get super creative and make your own embellishments as well. Please visit me at my blog ScrappinAbby to see additional photos of this project and for the complete supply list.

Thanks for stopping by the 3 Girl Jam blog today...I look forward to sharing more projects with all of you.

Happy Craftin!!
